he Clarence House Hotel was established in 1938 and has been under the personal supervision of the Phillip's family for over sixty years. For the past twenty years, the hotel has specialized in offering accommodation and entertainment to coach tours. Situated on the seafront a short flat walk from the town walls and main town. Overlooking the South Beach the hotel has breathtaking views of Carmarthen Bay towards the islands of Caldey and St Catherine's.

We have 74 bedrooms, all en-suite with tea-making facilities and colour television, Some with sea views. A fully licensed Seagull Bar designed to hold 150 people leading onto the scenic Rose Garden at the rear of the hotel.
We have a hotel Lift to all floors and Level, disabled access to bar, restaurant, lift and most bedrooms. We also have self catering flats to let for the more independent families.
If you would like to take a stroll across the road down the steps, you would be on the South beach.

Sun and Sand
Reached by slipway at the end of the Esplanade, the firm clean sands of the South Beach, facing Caldey Island, enjoy the maximum of daily sunshine. The tidal water is shallow and offers ideal conditions for children bathing.
On the seafront opposite is a small, private, paved cliff garden for sitting and access to steps down to the South Beach for bathing from the Hotel.

Highly recommended cuisine with daily variety and choice on a table d'hote menu is provided in our attractive seaview ground floor dining room, on inclusive tariff to all residents and guests.

Rose Garden Patio
Sliding glass door open the Seagull Lounge to the enclosed Rose Garden. For the keen gardener this is well laid out with a wide variety of natural shrubs and flowers changing with the season.

Seaside Holidays
The Hotel enjoys an excellent position on The Esplanade with front seaviews from South Beach over Caldey Island and St. Catherine's Island Fort across the bay to the Gower Coast, North Devon and Somerset.

The Bedrooms
Our Lift, level to all floors, provides easy access to bedrooms, all of which are en-suite, the front bedrooms having superb seaviews. All have tea / coffee makers and individually controlled room heating.
